1. Going crazy over the Internet Speed
Granted, this trait might not be unique to us, but the complaining and incessant reprimanding of the hotel staff that follows surely is unique to us. The internet usage acts both as filter while booking and as the yardstick to measure the service quality during your stay!
2. Ordering more food than you can imagine
We love our food just like we love cricket and Bollywood and the housekeeping is all too well acquainted with that!
3. Jumping up and down on the bed
Call it checking the softness of the fabric or the quality check of the mattress, it is the first thing we do after entering the room.
4. Irritating the life out of Housekeeping
Cold stares and eye rolls? What did you expect after ringing the housekeeping every 10 minutes?
5. Hoarding toiletries
Who can resist the sweet-smelling lotion or the beautiful teeny bottle of shower gel or the exotic looking shower bombs? But make sure you don’t pull a ‘Ross’ and lay all your exploits in front of the hotel staff!
6. Couples with annoying children
Annoying children are a common sight at any hotel, irrespective of the rating. Again, this might not be unique to us Indians alone, but it would be beneficial if the parents could keep their meddling kids away.
7. Talking loudly over the phone
What’s more Indian than Samosa and Jalebi? Talking over the phone loudly! This habit needs to be curbed because believe me, no one wants to know ‘what your mom cooked yesterday for lunch’!
8. Before and after condition of hotel resources
Take a picture of the room when you move in and one just before leaving. Notice any difference? Perfect white towels vs ones that have been used as floor mats. No?!
